...was definitely overrated this year. I was deeply disappointed watching this years ads selection. It is a very bad experience to see so many ads in track that don't move you in any way. Yes, I can just shrug my shoulders and move on. There is nothing to remember or talk about. At one side we had Snicker ad built with Brokeback Mountain theme. - very stereotypical and judgmental. Yuck! And on the other side we do have Honda, the most ineffective brand ever - fMRI brain scanning showed that there is no difference between watching that ad and blank screen. There was no reaction, no engagement. Scary. I wonder how much time agency has spent to create such a masterpiece. Yawn!
My personal favorite is the E*trade "One finger" commercial. I like it for it is simplicity, a notch of humor and coherence.
