Can You See Any Black Swan in Your Rear-view Mirror?

Surprise I am currently reading the fantastic "The Black Swan" by  Nassim Nicholas Taleb a narrative of the importance of the highly improbable events that influence our existence and change the history we believed to be predicted and to happen as planned. The Black Swans are the metaphor for things we don't know before we see them and we rarely tend to notice them as we are focused on looking back.

"Trying to predict the future based on research is like trying to drive a car by looking in the rear-view mirror."
                                                                                                                (Marshall McLuhan)

While being unexeptionally busy with looking back, we hit black swans and left surprised how could this happen.

I can see one good advice: look forward.

Danish Active Facebook Users

Denmark has the proud 6th place on the ranking over countries and its Facebook active users with 2.1 mil. Facebookers. The growth within the last 3 months isn't quite impressive when compared to other countries, but you must take into consideration that it is already 40% of Danish population is on Facebook which is pretty impressive.

Augmented Reality

Technology is a glittering lure that means nothing without contributing significantly to our life, either making it easier or more exciting. The more technological development progress, the more exciting opportunities appear. As mentioned before it is all about the idea and the right context to use it and make it useful. This is one impressive example, called object-based media from Touch - a research group exploring the way mobile phones communicate with the physical world. One of their latest experiments involves attaching an RFID reader to an iPhone. When the phone is close enough to an RFID tag attached to certain objects, different actions or windows are triggered on the phone.

Internet is about experiences

...and banner advertising seems so primitive in the eyes of this website experience
Internet opens the door for the whole new world of the new immersive experiences and all we need is the idea and the right context to create them.
